Pants on the Ground kicked off the 2010 Southeast Drift season. Despite the cold winds, a sold out list of 46 drivers and a large group of spectators came out to launch our new season of practice events in the Atlanta area. After a 5 month absence we returned to run at Turner Field’s Blue Lot. Many drivers were happy to see the long awaited return of the “fast” layout. An intimidating course for any driver this layout allowed for third gear entries. Drivers were cautioned to drive within their limits and to utilize the on site instructors. As a result we had a day great day with drivers quickly progressing adapting through the day. With SEDC3 just around the corner we are very excited to see how the season progresses. Southeast Drift will be hosting a 6 round Pro AM competition series in Georgia and Tennessee this season. The series will kick off big at Road Atlanta during the Formula D rd.2 weekend! We know that this series will be a showcase for all the great drivers in the southeast region.

Drift film heavy hitters Will Roegge and Josh Herron just announced their new upcoming documentary film project “KEEP DRIFTING FUN” These guys have made quite a name for themselves individually and the news of a full DVD collaboration is awesome. What’s more exciting is that they have confirmed they will be filming at Triple Threat 3 Rd. 1 May 9th at Turner Field the day after Formula D at Road Atlanta! So make sure to register for that event as soon as registration opens in April.
With the announcment of the DVD project they dropped this short preview of what is to come. The footage was taken at Nashville Super Speedway last fall with the Drift Mechaniks a group of southeast based drivers and SED event regulars.
Well we’ve been working hard to get this finalized for all you guys and its finally available. This schedule is for events being held at Atlanta’s Turner Field in the “Blue Lot”.
