Time For Another Meat.

June 16th, 2009 by admin

Time for a meet again.  We found a great spot with a large lot perfect for us.  Manhattan Pizza off of Indian trail next to the Waffle House.

Kyle the owner is a fellow car guy and an old friend of Andy Sapp.  Met him a few days ago.  Super cool and excited we decided to have our next meet there.

Clean up all your cars and wear your SED shirts.  We will be doing a photoshoot for the site before the sun sets.  Buy a Triple Threat shirt at the meet and get a free slice of pizza.

See you guys there.

hot coverage!

June 16th, 2009 by admin

Well the pics and videos have started to pop up.  Here are a couple of quality galleries to check out.  These guys made the best of shooting from the sides of the track and finding gaps for great shots, cutting through all the yellow tape.

Triple Threat II rd.2

June 14th, 2009 by admin

Today was the second round of our summer practice event series in Atlanta.  A new course design was set up to keep everyone on their toes.  All the drivers had good things to say about it. It provided challenges to drivers of all skill levels from the faster entry to the technical aspects of the second half of the course.  We will be posting coverage as it comes up so check back in the coming week.

Thank you for your support!

We’d like to take a moment to say thank you to all the drivers that are making Southeast Drift what it is.  We would be nothing without the drivers.  You guys are what it is about and we say thank you.  At Triple Threat 2 Rd. 1 May 10th we had a great turn out of diverse drivers from all over the east coast and even a few from the west.  We were very happy to have so many people from all over come by to see what we are doing.

New Safety Requirements

May 20th, 2009 by admin

As we posted last week Southeast Drift has stepped up the safety requirements for Tandem level drivers.  This includes fire suits and a minimum six point cage with drivers side door bar.  We understand that this can be an expensive upgrade for any driver so we are working with local vendors and fabricators to help drivers equip their cars for the 2009 season.

Kyle from Lethal Injection will be giving a 15% discount off the top of any cages that he fabs and/or installs.

We will update as new deals are made with other vendors and fabricators.

TT2 Doing It Big

May 20th, 2009 by admin

Triple Threat II kicked off on Mother’s Day following Formula D rd.2 Friday and Saturday at Road Atlanta.  We were very happy to have a full grid of talented drivers from all over come and join us at Atlanta’s Turner Field.  Southeast Drift implemented a new safety standard among the Tandem level drivers.  We are very happy and grateful to see so many drivers step up to the new requirements so quickly.  The weather was off and on all day but the drivers made the best of it.

We are already getting prepared for the next TT2 event June 13th.  Registration is sold out so we expect another action packed day of practice.  Again we will have instructors on hand to help anyone that wants help developing their driver skills.  See you guys at the track!
